A Man in a Room Below Me

A man is in a room below me who took one-third of my life. A man is in a room below me who will take half of my daughter's childhood from me. A man is in a room below me who will be witness to so many firsts in her life that he does not deserve to see. 

A man who has lied, 

cheated, 

yelled, 

and manipulated 

now gets to walk away from this situation as an equal. 

He gets half of our life, when he added nothing to it.  

A man is in a room below me who has served no time for the damage he has done. 

BUT

A man is in a room below me who doesn't get to have me anymore. A man is in a room below me, who is the loneliest man in the world. A man is in a room below me who will carry who he is and what he has done. 

That man will serve his time.
